Narad is a longtime member of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville as well as a musician, poet, landscaper, horticulturist, and gardener. When he was 23, he came to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and had his first darshan of the Mother, who made him an ashramite and gave him permission to teach music in the ashram school.

In this session, we seek to explore the realms of Wisdom as the power of Maheshwari.
Does wisdom contain itself in knowledge or the ability to discern or the ability to judge with disinterestedness or the capacity to work with insight? Wisdom as it can carry us to the higher realms of consciousness where lies the true path of Sri Aurobindo’s Yoga.

Maheshwari is the Power that can build our soul and our nature into the divine Truth and it is to her we may address our aspiration for Knowledge and Wisdom. Laying at her feet our ego, abandoning ourselves to the Supreme, we may reach true wisdom. In this session, we shall discuss the role and purpose of Matrimandir in Auroville, and its effect on the residents.

Manipuri Dance

hails from Manipur, from North East India, enclosed by hills on all sides. The geographical seclusion has carved a distinct dance style, influenced by Vaishnavism.
Bimbavati Devi, the daughter of legendary maestros Guru Bipin Singh & Guru Smt. Kalavati, was initiated into the world of Manipuri Dance. She is recipient of Awards Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Purusha & Rashtriya Kumar Gandharva Samman.
